West Virginia – Flooding Update 1

DISASTER AID USA IS RESPONDING!

Disaster Aid USA Ambassador from Morgan Town WVA Russell Koon with his wife Lois, working with Rotarians from District 7550 have been at the Glades Elementary Schools in Cowen, WV (distribution center for flood victim) since June 29 providing, preparing and serving food and water.

Saturday, July 2 at 3am, Disaster Aid USA deployed its 2nd wave of volunteers along with its trailer and a team of volunteers (Rotarians and non-Rotarians) to Cowen, WVA to assist the Webster

County disaster relief efforts to provide the desperately needed aid for the victims of the June 23-24 flooding that left in its path death and devastation. Disaster Aid USA with it trailer filled with unique equipment, such as; shovels, hammers, water filters, water wagon, generators, and most important “strong backs” were deployed to Williams River and working with Rotarians from District 7550 made that difference by providing aid to those flood stricken residents of Williams River, WVA.

Disaster Aid USA’s will deploy a 3rd. wave of volunteers to the distribution center in Cowen, WVA this Friday, July 8,to Cowen, WVA to continue it disaster relief effort.
