Disaster Aid USA (DAUSA) Deployment Report; London, Kentucky – May 2025
Deployment Summary: Team Leader Dave Roasa, alongside the Disaster Aid USA leadership team, coordinated deployment efforts to support relief operations in London, Kentucky, following recent disaster impacts. On May 27th, Ohio DAUSA team leaders Dave and Jan Roasa deployed and collaborated with Operation Blessing, which was managing a base camp located at 77 Spring Lake London, KY.
Throughout the deployment, the DAUSA team contributed to two primary efforts:
- Supporting the Point of Distribution (POD) center, which was overwhelmed with incoming public donations.
- Assisting in the preparation and delivery of approximately 300 meals daily to survivors in the affected region.
By the end of the deployment, DAUSA volunteers contributed a total of 56 service hours and impacted about 550 lives. At the FEMA-designated independent volunteer rate of $33.49 per hour, this equates to an economic value of $1,876.
