A Call for Donations
Donations will provide meals for the volunteers, Family Sawyer Water Filters, Construction Materials, Insulation, Plumbing and electrical items that need to be replaced caused by the flooding.
In late July, western Monongalia County, in addition to Wetzel and Marion counties, were hit particularly hard by flood waters. Communities in rural northern West Virginia Towns are still cleaning up from and coping with the effects of the flash flooding when a state of emergency was declared in eight counties. Hundred, a small town in Wetzel County was among the hardest hit.
The cleanup work is going well, but there is still a need for volunteers. Disaster Aid USA will be deploying to Hundred, West Virginia on September 1-4 (Labor Day Weekend) and September 8-11 (the week-end after) Disaster Aid USA will be deploying its Disaster Response Trailer complimented with its Disaster Response Team Members, (DARTS) Rotarians and non-Rotarian volunteers.
Disaster Aid USA “Americans helping Americans” has committed to help Hundred, WV in September on Labor Day Weekend and the following weekend.
Disaster Aid USA is a project of the Rotary Club of Prince Georges County, its mission is to bring humanitarian aid quickly to community’s suffering from the effects from a natural or man-maid disaster.
Call for Volunteers: Disaster Aid USA welcomes Rotarians and non-Rotarians who want to donate their time and join with its team of DARTS and provide the aid in this time of need in Hundred, WV.
