Disaster Aid USA, INC. was incorporated as a non-profit corporation in Washington, DC on 6/18/2010. We have received our 501(c)3 status as a public non-profit. All donations to DAUSA are tax deductible.

DAUSA was established by the former ShelterBox USA team in Central Maryland/Washington DC

Disaster Aid USA incorporates the following:

DAUSA is an American Rotary project run by Americans. Our disaster tent was designed by DAUSA Executive Director, Larry Agee, a Rotarian in the Sulphur Sunrise Rotary Club in Louisiana.

Wayne R. Beaumier Sr.

Wayne R. Beaumier is DAUSA’s Chairman of the Board & serves as Zone 25B Director for DAUSA, Email: wayne.beaumier@disasteraidusa.org

Rotary Club of Cypress-Fairbanks   Cypress, Texas District, 5890.

  • Three-time Past President in Rotary District 5890 and served 4 times as an assistant governor
  • Club and District 5890 Rotarian of the year: Major Donor and Level 2 Benefactor.
  • 2023 Rotary International ‘Service Above Self’ recipient.

DAUSA is an active member of VOAD: Voluntary Organization Active in Disasters and has membership on a local, Regional, State Level and National Level. Active member in Crisis Clean Up.

Currently DAUSA has 30 Domestic response trailers, a rescue boat, and tractor with grappling hooks for helping our Chain Saw crews. A new Command Center can be deployed as a domestic disaster trailer and bunkhouse our team leads and is equipped with Sky Link communication system.

DAUSA also deploys TEAM leads to help train and maintain District and Rotary Zone response groups.  DAUSA recently signed an MOU with the Rotary DNA-RAG: Disaster Network Assistant Rotary Action Group to work on short- and long-term recovery projects with Rotary Clubs and Districts

 Wayne has been deployed out of the country four times and is a Team Lead Trainer for Disaster Aid International and has responded to over 41 domestic disasters and has logged over 8,000 volunteer hours. DAUSA currently has teams in Virginia, Florida and California working on local disasters.

He is employed by Standard Safety Equipment Company, a USA-based manufacturer of high-end reusable chemical clothing. His focus is on refineries and chemical companies that use Hydrofluoric acid.

He has worked there for more than 35 years and mixes Rotary with his work responsibilities as V.P. of Sales. 

FUN Fact: Wayne umpired in the 75Th Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA in 2022

Robert R. “Bob” Grill

Robert “Bob” Grill was born and raised in Franklin, Pennsylvania, in 1969 he started his own construction company, specializing in residential and commercial building and remodeling and he is still semi-active in his business.

He was invited to become a Rotarian in 1992. He is a past president of his Rotary Club (3 times), 2012-03 District Governor District 7620. In 2009.Invited to and represented D.K. Lee, President of Rotary International at a district conference in L’Aquila, Italy.

He has received many awards for his service to Rotary. Founded, chaired and worked on many club service projects. Served as manager, coordinator of his club fund-raiser for 12 years (preparing and selling food and drinks at the FedEx field during Redskin football games and other stadium events. On the district level has served 7-1/2 years as the treasurer of the Chesapeake President Elect Training Seminar. Aide to five RI Presidents and six RI Presidents Representatives. During his years as a Rotarian he has served on several district committees, (annual-fund, permanent fund, Rotaract, RYLA). In 2015 received the Rotary International Service Above Self Award. Through his membership and leadership in Rotary, his service is known locally, nationally and internationally.

Bob was honored as one of the Prince Georges County’s Real Heroes at the 2001 annual Prince George’s County Chapter of the American Red Cross Real Heroes Breakfast. His hands-on-style is evident when building ramps for the handicapped and making a boy afflicted with Cerebral Palsy and “employee for a day” and giving the boy a ride in his construction company dump truck and Bob-cat. Bob’s heartwarming caring stretches abroad, internationally, helping to raise funds to purchase needed medical equipment for reconstructive facial surgery for children in South America, he truly acts generously in the heart of need.

In 2010 he was one of the three founders of Disaster Aid USA. He is the past board chairman, current president and CEO of Disaster Aid USA, a 501-c3 registered charity (a Rotary Club Project of the Prince Georges County Rotary Club) that provides disaster relief and humanitarian aid when disasters strikes, natural or man-made, DAUSA is run and managed by American Rotarians throughout the U.S. Supported by Rotarians, non-Rotarians, Rotary Clubs, Businesses, and Grants.

Since 2010 DAUSA has deployed and provided aid and assistance to those in need following domestic disasters in; Alabama, Louisiana, North East USA, Oklahoma, Colorado, IL, Arkansas, South Carolina, Texas, West Virginia, Florida, Puerto Rico, BVI, Hawaii and North Carolina.

Bob has been married 60 years and has three children, he is a family man believing in family values, and he enjoys hunting, fishing and cooking.

Dave Roasa

Dave Roasa – Zone 30 Director, Disaster Aid USA, Email: dausazone30@gmail.com

Dave Roasa serves as the Zone 30 Director for Disaster Aid USA and brings decades of dedicated community service to the organization. A longtime member of the Grove City Rotary Club in district 6690, Dave has held numerous leadership roles including Club President, Treasurer, and several board positions. He has been recognized multiple times as the club’s “Rotarian of the Year” and, alongside his wife Jan, received the prestigious Grove City Community “Service Above Self Award” in 2024. Dave is a member of Disaster Network of Assistance-Rotary Action Group and Peace Rotary Action Group. At the district level, Dave has also severed as a district chair and was honored with Rotary International District 6690’s “Four Avenues of Service Citation Award,” recognizing his outstanding contributions across all areas of Rotary service.

Dave began volunteering with Disaster Aid USA in 2016, quickly rising to become a trusted Team Leader. He has led disaster response teams across the country, coordinating cleanup efforts and training new volunteers. Dave is an active member of OH, KY, and TN VOADs- Voluntary Organization Active in Disasters. Active member in Crisis Clean Up.

 In addition to his work with DAUSA, Dave also serves with Bed Brigade, delivering beds to children and families in need. In 2025, Dave was named “Elk of the Year” by BPOE Columbus-Grove City Elks Lodge #37, honoring his impactful service both locally and nationally. Dave also honors veterans as a Guardian on Ohio Honor Flights, helping ensure their service is remembered and celebrated.

A retired IT Director from Nationwide, Dave’s community involvement began years ago with the Grove City Kids Association, where he served as Football Commissioner, and later on the Grove City Parks Board for nearly a decade.

Above all, Dave’s deepest source of pride is his family. He and his wife Jan exemplify compassion, humility, and a shared commitment to serving others. Together, their legacy of service continues to make a lasting impact on the community they call home.

Wayne Gerlock

Wayne Gerlock joined the Rotary Club of Marion, IL in 1977, after moving to Marion in 1974. He served as District 6510’s District Governor in 2006-2007 after serving in all leadership positions for the Rotary Club of Marion and was their President in 1995-1996. Wayne has served District 6510 as: 1998-1999 District Conference Co-Chairman; Assistant Governor of area 6 from 2000-2004; District Trainer 2003-2005; and Deputy Governor for Community Service 2005-2006. Governor Wayne served as District Administrator for 10 years starting in 2008.

Wayne led the chartering of “The Rotary Club of Williamson County, Heartland” in Marion, IL in 2003. While District Governor, he also chartered the “Rotary Club of Red Bud”. In 2004, Wayne was one of the organizers of the “Land of Lincoln President-Elect Training Seminar,” which comprised four districts from Southern and Central Illinois and Southern and Central Indiana. The first LOLPETS was held to train the incoming Presidents, during Wayne’s year as District Governor 2006-07. He continued as an officer of LOLPETS from 2005 until 2023.

Also, during Wayne’s District Governorship, he authorized the start of the “District Disaster Response Committee”. In 2017-18, Wayne became a Co-Chair of the committee and helped DAC design and write the software for their “DR” module. The DR (disaster response) software tracks member volunteers, member equipment, and member services. He currently serves as Chair for Southern Illinois Regional COAD; Rotary International District 6510 Disaster Co-Chair; Rotary International Zone 30-31 Disaster Advisory Committee member, and Disaster Aid USA Zone 31 Co-Director (North).

Jan Roasa

Jan Roasa- Secretary-Disaster Aid USA, Email: janroasa@gmail.com

Jan Roasa serves as Secretary for Disaster Aid USA and brings decades of Community service to the organization. She is a long-term member of the Grove City Ohio Rotary Club in district 6690. During her membership she has served as Club President and Treasurer. She has been recognized as her clubs “Rotarian of the Year” and along with her husband Dave received the prestigious Grove City Community “Service Above Self Award.

Jan began volunteering with Disaster Aid USA in 2018 during Hurricane Michael.  She has responded to numerous disasters since then- cooking, removing debris, mucking and gutting and chain sawing as well as providing emotional support to victims. Jan also volunteers with Bed Brigade delivering beds to children and families in need. She also volunteers at the Grove City Elks Club to provide and cook dinner for members- raising funds for the Elks Charity.

Retired RN at the James Cancer Hospital where she received the prestigious Clinical Excellence Award in Nursing. Jan’s community involvement began as Cheerleading Commissioner with the Grove City Kids Association. She has also served on the Board of her local YMCA and as a cyclist and fundraiser for the James Cancer Hospital’s Pelotonia (an event that raises money for cancer research).

Jan has been married to her husband Dave since 1976 and they have 3 children and 5 grandchildren some of which have worked with them on disasters. She and her husband Dave have a shared commitment to helping others with compassion and humility. Together their legacy of service continues to make a lasting impact on the community they call home.

Dr. William “Bill” DuBoyce

Dr. William “Bill” DuBoyce is representing Rotary Zone 33. Bill is also the Vice Chairman of the DAUSA Board of Directors. Bill is a Past President of the Bladensburg, Maryland Rotary Club and he is still a member there. Bill attended Howard University College of Medicine and he is a Board Certified Internal Medicine physician. He is presently a Physician at Medstar. In addition to being a very active Rotarian and a supporter of Disaster Aid USA, Bill is the President of the Friends of the National Ballet. Bill brings a solid Rotarian background to our Board of Directors.

Arthur Hodge

Arthur Hodge is representing Rotary Zone 34. Arthur joined The Rotary Club of Vero Beach Sunrise in April of 2002. He has served on many committees of the club and has perfect attendance since joining. He has served on the Club’s Board for seven years and was Club President in 2008-2009. After serving as President, Arthur was the District 6930 Area 7 Assistant Governor for 2009-2010 and 2010-2011. As an RLI Discussion Leader he has facilitated Parts 1, 2 and 3 in both Florida and the Caribbean.

District 6930 duties have included: Governor 2013-14, District Trainer, Caribbean Partnership, Finance Committee, and District Conference Committee for four years including its Conference Chair for 2012. Arthur is a Paul Harris Society member with multiple Paul Harris Awards. He has attended five International Conferences, Zone Seminars, six Multi-District P.E.T.S., visited four countries for the purpose of Humanitarian Projects and has taken an active part in many District meetings and Conferences. Currently Arthur is District Paul Harris Society Chair, District RLI Director 2015-16, Zone 34 Director of the Caribbean Partnership.

Arthur attended East Tennessee State University, Brevard Community College and graduated from the University of Tennessee with a BS in Business Administration. Work experience includes a ten-year stint with Trans World Airlines in Florida and New York. After his airline career, he has worked in another form of transportation. He is currently the Owner/Manager of an Agency serving the trucking industry. Arthur provides long-distance truck transportation for refrigerated and frozen food products in the United States and Canada.

Arthur and Brenda enjoy traveling in their spare time. They recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. They have two sons, both of whom live in Vero Beach. They are happy to share most of their available time with their three Grandchildren, all girls.

Russ is a member of the Cheat Lake Rotary in Morgantown, West Virginia. He has been a member of the Cheat Lake club since 2006. Russ joined Rotary in 1982 and was a member of the Rotary Club of College Park, Maryland. Russell is a graduate of the Rotary Leadership Institute. He served as club president in club year 1996-1997. Russ has served on and chaired many club and district committees. He served District 7620 as Assistant Governor in 2002-2003 and 2004-2005. He also was District 7620 Club Service Director. Currently Russ chairs the Rotary District 7545 Disaster Relief Committee.
Russ is a retired from Verizon Communications Company, where he managed outside plant engineering and construction in Washington, DC, and the adjacent counties in Maryland.
Russ and his wife Lois reside in Morgantown, West Virginia. They have been married over 50 years and have 1 daughter and 2 sons and 4 grandchildren. Russ and Lois volunteer a large amount of their free time traveling to Rotary clubs, conferences and disasters providing relief and promoting Disaster Aid USA.
